Not new to the work
Cameras were never on the old Avant site’s service list, but they have been part of the work all along. The old contact page asked visitors about audio-video, surveillance or networking. The Google Business Profile lists closed-circuit television as a category. Among Avant’s 47 Google reviews, customers mention cameras installed around their property and AI cameras tied into a whole-home system. That is why this site lists them as a service of their own.
Cameras placed for the view
The cameras in Avant’s job photos sit at siding corners, under eaves and on fascia boards — mounted high and aimed along the side of the house. 4 of the photos on this site are cameras; the one above is at the corner of a house with lap siding. Each one needs a cable back to the rack, which the cabling plan accounts for.
Video doorbells and the app

Can a video doorbell be used as a security camera?
It covers the front door and records whoever comes to it, but it sees only the entry. For the driveway, the sides of the house and the back yard, Avant adds cameras under the eaves and at the corners.
Where should outdoor security cameras be mounted?
High and at the corners — under eaves or on fascia — aimed along the walls and toward the approaches, which is where the cameras in Avant’s own photos sit. The exact spots are set at the consultation.
Will you set up the camera app on my phone?
Yes. Setting up the app and walking you through it is part of the install; one Google reviewer mentions the app setup specifically.
Do you install AI cameras?
Yes. One Google reviewer’s system includes AI cameras alongside AV, a home theater, lighting, pool wiring and networking.
Can you put a camera at my gate?
Yes. Gate cameras and call boxes are one of the reasons Avant runs fiber, which carries the network out to the gate.
