Automated lighting control
Scenes and schedules for every room, designed panel by panel — for homes and for commercial spaces.

Scenes and schedules
The old Avant site described this service as customizable scenes and schedules for residential and commercial spaces. A scene sets several lights at once with one press — dinner, a movie, everything off at bedtime. A schedule runs them on the clock, so the porch and the outdoor living lights come on without anyone touching a switch.
Designed panel by panel
The document pictured on this page is a load schedule from an Avant lighting design. The panel is laid out in modules of 4 outputs, each module on a 20-amp circuit feed, and each output is listed by room and fixture with its wattage: the master bedroom’s reading lights, the vanity sconces, the laundry room’s under-cabinet lights. That table, with the floor plan drawn on the system design page, is how every keypad ends up running the right lights.
Part of the whole house
Lighting control can stand alone or sit inside a Control4 system, where the lights share an app and keypads with the TVs, the audio and the climate. Camilo C.’s house is the example in the reviews: AV, a home theater, lighting, pool wiring, networking and AI cameras on a single system, which is the review quoted below.

- Scenes and schedules set with you

Answers
Automated Lighting Control: questions
How do I automate the lights in my house?
With a lighting control system: the circuits run through control modules, and keypads and an app set scenes and schedules. Avant designs the panel and keypad layout, installs it, and sets the scenes with you.
Can lighting control work in a commercial space?
Yes. Avant designs lighting control for residential and commercial spaces, with scenes and schedules set for how the space is used.
Does lighting control work with Control4?
Yes. Lighting can be part of a Control4 system, so lights, TVs, audio and climate share one app and one set of keypads.
What is a lighting control load schedule?
It is the table listing every output in a lighting control panel: the room and fixture it feeds, the wattage, and the circuit behind it. Avant prepares one as part of a lighting design, like the schedule pictured on this page.
How much does a smart lighting system cost?
It depends on the number of circuits, keypads and rooms, which is why Avant starts with a consultation and a design rather than a price list. The estimate follows the plan.
