Audio-visual and home theater
TVs mounted with the wires hidden, surround and whole-home audio, and Sonos and Apple TV set up so the room runs from one remote.

TVs on the wall, wires out of sight
Most of Avant’s Google reviews start with a TV. Two 85-inch sets with outdoor covers. An 86-inch TV. A TV above a fireplace mantel. Two TVs mounted 10 feet up, a job the customer says several other installers had turned down. Each went on the wall with the cable hidden, and reviewers bring that up again and again.
Sound for one room or the whole house
Avant installs surround systems with a subwoofer for the media room and whole-home audio for everywhere else. As a Sonos Authorized Dealer, Avant sells and sets up Sonos; in Dennis Stephen’s house the Sonos is connected to the surround and runs through Control4 along with the Apple TV. Another reviewer had a pile of remotes consolidated in about 10 minutes.
Home theater
Home cinema installation is one of the categories on Avant’s Google Business Profile, and one review covers an entire AV system and home theater in a single house. A theater gets the same treatment as the rest of the low-voltage work: the screen, the speakers, the sources and the control are designed together, installed, and then walked through with the owner before Justin leaves.
Matthew Nelson’s review sums up the usual job — TVs mounted, wires hidden, a surround system with a subwoofer — and calls the estimate fair and accurate. Angela L. adds the part people remember afterward.
- TV mounting over fireplaces, on high walls and outdoors
- Hidden cable and in-wall runs
- Surround sound with a subwoofer
- Whole-home audio and Sonos
- Apple TV and streaming sources
- Remotes consolidated, or run from Control4
Answers
Audio-Visual & Home Theater: questions
Can you hide the wires when you mount a TV?
Yes — hiding the cable is part of how Avant mounts a TV. Reviewers with TVs over fireplaces, on bedroom walls and high on living-room walls mention the wires being out of sight.
Can a TV be mounted above a fireplace?
Yes. A TV above a fireplace mantel is one of the jobs in Avant’s reviews, and the photos on this site include framed TVs on plaster fireplace walls.
How high can a TV be mounted?
One customer needed two TVs installed 10 feet high after several installers declined the job, and Avant did it. The right height for your room is settled at the consultation.
Do you sell and install Sonos?
Yes. Avant is a Sonos Authorized Dealer and installs Sonos for whole-home audio and as part of a surround system; one reviewer’s Sonos is connected to the surround alongside an Apple TV.
Can you install TVs outside?
Yes. One Google review describes two 85-inch TVs installed with outdoor covers.
Can you get all my remotes down to one?
Often, yes. One reviewer wrote that the remotes were consolidated in about 10 minutes, and in a Control4 home the TV, the Apple TV and the Sonos run from one remote or app.
